What You Bring to Cambia:
Preferred Key Experience:
ETL tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend), big data tools (Hadoop, Spark), cloud storage, and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Airflow).
Qualifications and Certifications:
College degree in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related fields.
A college degree may be substituted by sufficient years of experience in the health care industry.
One year experience in defining and analyzing business requirements, process modeling, functional systems design, or configuration and/or acceptance testing is required.
Experience with a business area that is supported by this position is required (i.e., Provider Network and Contract Management, Digital Solutions, Pricing, Membership, Claims, etc.).
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills and Attributes (Not limited to):
Expertise in data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow).
Strong knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Scala) and query languages (e.g., SQL).
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS S3, Google BigQuery).
Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
ETL tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend), big data tools (Hadoop, Spark), cloud storage, and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Airflow).
What You Will Do at Cambia (Not limited to):
Reliable, scalable data pipelines and storage systems that enable analytics, machine learning, or reporting.
Developing and optimizing data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.
Ensuring data quality, integrity, and availability for data scientists and analysts.
Building and maintaining data warehouses or data lakes (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Hadoop).
Automating data workflows and ensuring scalability of data systems.
Working with big data technologies to handle structured and unstructured data.
The expected target hiring range for the Data Platform Engineer is $121k – $142k is depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; and work location. The bonus target for this position is 15% . The current full salary range for the Data Platform Engineer is $113k / $185k.
