BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST (or SR or Lead DOE)

Telecommute Option - MUST reside in ID, OR, UT or WA


WHO WE NEED

The Business Systems Analyst Support Services participates in the daily support, maintenance, and enhancement of existing systems, as well as the development, configuration and delivery of new systems to directly support Cambia Core Strategies and Key Initiatives.

Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed below

The Business Systems Analyst would have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or related fields.

  • Minimum of One year experience in defining and analyzing business requirements, process modeling, functional systems design or configuration and/or acceptance testing is required.

  • Experience with a business area that is supported by this position (i.e. claims processing, membership processing, provider relations, etc.) is required.

Additionally, the Senior would have:

  • Minimum of Three years experience in defining and analyzing business requirements, process modeling, functional systems design or configuration and/or acceptance testing is desired.

Additionally, the Lead would have:

  • Minimum of Five years experience in defining and analyzing business requirements, process modeling, functional systems design or configuration and/or acceptance testing is desired.

YOUR ROLE:

  • Accountable for functional system design and configuration Write and execute ad-hoc reports and queries

  • Conduct unit testing of configuration along with regression testing of fixes, enhancements and system upgrades

  • Perform post implementation quality assurance, troubleshooting and issue resolution

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding system functionality, modification and status of issue resolution

  • Review, analyze and resolve sustainment issues associated with system and/or processes

  • Develop scripts that move data or update data in a manner that replicates online functionality

  • Review and approve high-level data flows, functional and technical specifications, system implementation staging, change control, design alternatives and functional system requirements

  • Assist, when appropriate, in the training and communication of system changes for end-users and other impacted staff

  • Schedules, organizes and prioritizes work to ensure timely completion of all work simultaneously assigned or in progress

Additionally as a Senior:

  • Assist in development of Business Analysts

  • Back up Lead BSA as required

  • Perform in a project leadership role

  • Assist with project or production support duties as directed by leadership or Project Manager

Additionally as a Lead:

  • Assist in development of Business and Senior Business Analysts and back up Supervisor as required Write and execute ad-hoc reports

  • Develop and implement prudent Approach, Data Migration and Back-up plans for any given update

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop general and detailed functional requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to create and perform system testing, along with the ability to report on the results of such testing

  • Ability to facilitate and carry out system configuration decisions

  • Ability to facilitate communication between technical and business staff with the goal of finding the best solutions to meet the business requirements of various projects

  • Ability to work in a team environment along with the self motivation to work independently Demonstrated ability to tolerate and manage ambiguity

  • Proven analytical skills

  • Proven communication skills with an ability to be both clear and concise

Additionally as a Lead:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in requirements analysis, functional design, quality assurance and implementation activities regarding departmental applications and their associated business processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop project plans and schedules to ensure all tasks are identified and completed, and assigns tasks/workflow as necessary for completion.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead the development of business cases, business contingency plans, business metrics and measurements to improve the efficiency within business support services.

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate communication between technical and business staff by providing functional requirements and/or working with software developers to find the best solutions to meet the business requirements of various projects within deadlines.

  • Demonstrated competency in using rigorous logic, methods and analytical skills in diagnosing complex business requirements, process modeling, functional system design and/or acceptance testing.

  • Proven highly effective interpersonal skills and group motivator.

The expected target hiring range for a BSA position is $65.5k – $81.6k, SR is $80.7k – $109k. Lead is $88.8k – $120k depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; and work location. The bonus target for BSA & SR position(s) is 10%, Lead is 15% . The current full salary range for the BSA is $65.5k Low Range / $71k MRP / $92.5k High Range. SR is $76k Low Range / $95k MRP / $123.5k High Range. Lead is $83.5k Low Range / $104.5k MRP / $136k High Range.
