BioSensics is a biomedical engineering firm specializing in wearable medical sensor and telehealth technologies. Our physiological monitoring, telehealth, and biofeedback products are used in elderly care, physical therapy, rehabilitation, orthopedics, neurology, and many other areas. We are looking for a self-driven, detail oriented, and motivated Junior Test & Manufacturing Engineer to join our fast-growing team. It is a role that exercises both creative and practical areas, as our engineers are responsible for everything from product assembly and testing to process improvement and quality assurance in manufacturing and system integration. The Junior Test & Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for executing and optimizing the wearable sensor manufacturing process, assisting in device and software validation, and providing day-to-day engineering support for production operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer to gain hands on experience with medical technologies and play a key role in delivering high quality products that directly impact patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, execute, and optimize wearable sensor manufacturing process.
  • Develop and validate manufacturing methods, tooling, and equipment to meet quality and throughput goals.
  • Assist in the execution and continuous improvement of the incoming inspection process for product components.
  • Assist in managing and documenting nonconforming products following the internal nonconformance process within the electronic quality management system (eQMS).
  • Manage maintenance and calibration of test and manufacturing equipment to regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and process issues to minimize downtime.
  • Provide day-to-day engineering support for production operations, resolving process and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the test engineering team to integrate and improve in-line and end-of-line testing within production processes.
  • Collaborate with software, firmware, and quality team to ensure manufacturability and smooth transfer of new products to production.
  • Perform Verification and Validation (V&V) testing using established testing protocols.
  • Assist with developmental testing through cross-collaboration with the engineering team.
  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs), as needed.
  • Participate in risk analysis for manufacturing processes and testing methods.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors of Science in engineering or equivalent.
  • Familiarity or interest within manufacturing space including tools and processes.
  • Experience or interest with regulated documentation systems and quality management tools.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and taking initiative.
  • Strong prioritization skills.
  • Interest or experience in Lean 6-Sigma manufacturing methods.
