Brief Overview:

We're looking for a full-time, Back-end Software Engineer to work on our web-based online health care solution. Our software combines the best elements of the web, video, and telephony to bring patients and health care providers together in innovative new ways.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement new functionality for Amwell's flagship Online Care product.
  • Engage in all aspects of release cycles including requirements review, work estimation, design, implementation, testing, and review.
  • Work with QA to understand and resolve defects.
  • Identify gaps in requirements or designs, and present options to address them.
  • Provide last-line support to the Hosting and Professional Services teams responsible for helping our customers reach their goals.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Java, Spring experience
  • 3+ years working with applications hosted in AWS, production application experience strongly preferred
  • Experience building in a microservice/DevOps environment
  • Experience with container-based deployments
  • Experience building multiple levels of automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) to ensure high quality code delivery
  • Preferred: Experience with PostgreSQL or DynamoDB
  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Google CDR is a plus

The team is part of the Provider Outpatient solutions area with focus on Amwell now solution, provider documentation, labs and provider group management. The team is composed of 4 developers and one automation qa.

The typical hourly wage range for this position is COP 9,600,000-13,200,000 The actual hourly wage offer will ultimately depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, relevant education, experience, complexity or specialization of talent, and other objective factors. This role may also be eligible for an annual bonus based on a combination of company performance and employee performance. Long-term incentive and short-term variable compensation may be offered as part of the compensation package dependent on the role.
