Brief Overview:
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and enhance our cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable AWS infrastructure, particularly using EKS and Terraform. A solid understanding of Kubernetes administration and AWS networking is essential. You will write Terraform configurations from scratch, manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, and automate processes through shell scripting. Additionally, you'll implement log collection solutions, work with databases like Aurora PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and utilize Redis for caching. Your expertise in Python will also be crucial for automating tasks and improving system performance.
Core Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain scalable infrastructure on AWS, including EKS and AWS networks, using Terraform.
- Administer Kubernetes clusters, ensuring adherence to best practices for deployment and management.
- Write and maintain Terraform configurations from scratch for infrastructure as code.
- Design and implement AWS networking solutions, leveraging a profound understanding of AWS services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production infrastructure and ensure system reliability.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to streamline application deployment processes.
- Automate operational tasks using shell scripting (e.g., Bash) to enhance efficiency.
- Implement log collection solutions, preferably utilizing Elasticsearch, for monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Write and maintain scripts and tools in Python for infrastructure automation and data manipulation.
- Manage and optimize databases such as Aurora PostgreSQL and MongoDB to ensure performance and scalability.
- Work with Redis for caching and data storage solutions.
- Experience with AWS MKS (Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka) is a plus.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS in a production environment.
- 2+ years of experience writing and managing Terraform configurations.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and experience with GitLab CI/CD.
- Proficient in shell scripting (Bash) and automation tools.
- Knowledge of log management and monitoring solutions.
- Experience with Python and the ability to write efficient and maintainable code.
- Familiarity with Redis and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Understanding of relational databases, particularly Aurora PostgreSQL.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
