We seek a teammate to be the tip of the spear in our efforts expand our impact by identifying and assessing new opportunities for AHP to serve in new and existing markets. The Strategic Analyst helps execute the company's growth strategy via sophisticated market research, strong internal communications and rapid strategic analysis.

Successful candidates will have a strong grasp of public procurement processes, particularly in the health and human services sectors, be self directed and curious, with the confidence to bring their expertise and perspective while being eager to learn more.

Key Responsibilities

Opportunity Monitoring & Analysis

  • Continuously monitor procurement portals and key marketplaces for relevant federal, state, and local solicitations.
  • Identify, summarize, and share potential opportunities aligned with the company’s core service areas and strategic growth priorities.
  • Lead preliminary evaluations of solicitations based on alignment with internal capacity, fit with past performance, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate and compile subject matter expert input to inform pursuit decisions and strategy.

Pipeline and CRM Management

  • Maintain the organization’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring all data is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
  • Track opportunity status and outcomes across the pipeline lifecycle.
  • Generate and maintain regular reports on business development metrics, including opportunity tracking, win/loss analysis, and progress toward business development goals.
  • Support system improvements to optimize CRM use and increase transparency and usability for internal teams.

Collaboration & Strategy

  • Support efforts to develop procurement response strategies that forecast relevant procurements, identify strategically valuable Master Service Agreements/Contractor Pools to pursue, and identify tendencies and preferences of potential clients.
  • Assist in preparing opportunity summaries, teaming recommendations, and competitive intelligence.
  • Participate in internal business development planning meetings and take ownership of follow-up tasks.
  • Maintain internal tools and knowledge repositories related to business development operations.
  • Identify and utilize external tools to enhance procurement review efficiency, including Artificial Intelligence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, social sciences, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, marketing, government contracting, grants management, or related roles.

  • Familiarity with behavioral health or social service sectors strongly preferred.

  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., FreshSales, Salesforce) and data management.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to analyze solicitation documents and synthesize complex information for decision-making.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of creating concise, informative reports and dashboards.

  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a deadline-driven environment.

Work Hours and Expectations:
This is a full-time, exempt position. As such, the role is not eligible for overtime compensation under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). While the standard workweek is 40 hours, exempt employees are expected to work the hours necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. This may include occasional evenings or extended hours during periods of high activity, critical deadlines, or special projects. Flexibility, accountability, and a results-oriented mindset are essential to success in this role.

Annual Salary Range: $65.000 - $75,000

The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the AHP salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be high or low within the specified range, depending on a range of factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and education. The range listed is just one component of AHP’s total compensation package for employees.

Work Authorization Requirement

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position is primarily sedentary and requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while operating a computer and other standard office equipment. The role involves frequent communication via video conferencing, email, and other digital platforms.
