Intern, Research and Evaluation

Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. ("AHP"), is seeking an intern to join our team of behavioral health researchers. Experts from our Center for Research and Evaluation are on the leading edge of research in the areas of mental health policy and services, substance use disorder treatment and prevention, co-occurring disorders, workforce development, homelessness and housing, employment, trauma, domestic violence, and criminal justice.
Responsibilities
- Participate in data collection, data entry, and data quality/integrity tasks
- Meet regularly with the project team to discuss interviewing, data, and any difficulties
- Assist with focus groups of study participants or key informants
Qualifications
- Experience with the field of behavioral health is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to perform duties that require close attention to detail.
- Ability to operate in a team environment and be flexible in taking on and performing assignments as necessary.
- A willingness to travel within the state and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and citation management software.

Salary Range: $21 - $25 per hour

The base hourly rate above represents the low and high end of the AHP salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be high or low in the range based on various factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and education.
