Job Description

The Senior Test Engineer is a technical position requiring software hardware and Quality Assurance skills. The Senior Test Engineer is responsible for setting up test client & server systems writing test protocols and working closely with the development engineers to execute test protocols document and provide feedback. This position requires test development and technical expertise in areas ranging from User Interface computer hardware platforms networking performance analysis and video. In addition the Senior Test Engineer is responsible for SQA design development and execution of functional/system and acceptance tests and test scenarios across Image Stream Medical's line of live video management products.

Job Duties

  • Participate in integration testing working closely with the development engineers at the module and system levels.
  • Develop and execute written test plans and procedures for medical devices.
  • Document and analyze system and software failures during verification.
  • Participate in the design review process providing expertise in testing requirements.
  • Execute performance level testing to generate system performance metrics.
  • Maintenance of the test equipment and lab functionality.
  • Other duties may be assigned

Job Qualfication

Required:

  • BEE BSCS (or equivalent) preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience with test plan creation and execution using problem tracking software for reporting and analysis.
  • Automated testing and automation tool experience such as Selenium, Cypress or similar.
  • Experience with setting up computer and client networks.
  • Strong familiarity with operation installation and administration of Windows XP and Server 2003.
  • Experience with computer hardware platforms.
  • Experience testing UI software applications.
  • Automated testing tool experience

Preferred:

  • Strong organizational problem solving skills and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of FDA verification testing in an FDA regulated environment.
  • Basic understanding of video standards such as MPEG2 H.264 etc.
  • Knowledge of medical device product development and testing lifecycles.
