Boston Medical Center Health Net Plan
BMC HealthNet Plan was founded by Boston Medical Center in 1997 in support of the center's mission to care for all patients regardless of their ability to pay. BMC HealthNet Plan operates as a managed care organization that includes the medical center, its affiliated health centers, and other providers and health centers in various regions of Massachusetts. We are a provider-sponsored plan, which means that our network physicians have input into the plan's clinical management. BMC HealthNet Plan manages the care of nearly 160,000 MassHealth (Medicaid) recipients in Greater Boston, and in Southeastern and Western Massachusetts. Each BMC HealthNet Plan member is offered a full range of healthcare benefits, including a personal physician, to provide or arrange for the member's care. And our members have $0 copayment for services they receive. In addition to their healthcare coverage, members also receive a variety of extra items and services. BMC HealthNet Plan's provider network includes thousands of specialists and primary care doctors affiliated with 54 acute care hospitals, more than 2,600 primary care physicians and nearly 11,000 specialists and ancillary providers. Members have access to more than 1,000 pharmacies throughout Massachusetts, including all major chains and most independent drug stores.bmchp.org
