Director, Product Growth Strategy and Chief of Staff

Reporting to the VP, Product and Digital Strategy, the Director of Product Growth Strategy/Chief of Staff is responsible to lead the Long Term Product Growth Strategy and planning to achieve a highly competitive pipeline and strategic plan. In addition, the leader will serve as the Chief of Staff to drive critical strategic initiatives and executive level communications/presentations in direct collaboration and support of the VP, Product and Digital Strategy. This individual contributor Director role will work in a hybrid way from any US Elevance Health Pulse Point.

How you will make an impact:

  • Partners with the Product & Digital Strategy leadership team and other cross matrix partners to inform and lead the development of yearly business and strategic plans.

  • Develops view of the market, competitor trends, signals and opportunities to meet current and future market demands.

  • Plans and leads, in partnership with the VP of Product and Digital Strategy quarterly leadership meetings, driving agenda and facilitating key sessions

  • Partners with other Chiefs of Staff across CarelonRx and Carelon Services to ready for quarterly business meetings, Business Operations Reviews and other executive level requirements

  • Partners with the VP of Digital and Product Strategy to prepare for leadership forums, presentations to various stakeholders – both internal and external – and leads socialization of the strategic plans and roadmaps for Product and Digital across key stakeholders

  • Leads macro level market intelligence and competitive intelligence to inform the market strategy to inform the product roadmap required to position our solutions and achieve our growth plans.

Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience including prior leadership experience and 3 to 5 year strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred skills and experiences:

  • 8 years of related experience including 3 years of Product and Market Strategy and/or B to B Marketing or health care consulting firm

  • MBA degree

  • Experience developing strategic planning and running strategy sessions

  • Experience working in a highly complex matrixed organization

  • Experience in a Pharmacy Benefit Manager and in the Health care/Payer sector is highly preferred.

  • Strong executive level communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to translate complex issues into simple terms

  • Self starter with strong relationship development and collaboration skills

  • High level of business acumen and strategic thinking

  • Strong financial skills

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $127,600 to $229,680
